Cops looking for naked motorcycle riders caught on viral video in Zamboanga City

Authorities are now looking for the two young men who went viral online for dancing naked while on motorcycles in Zamboanga City.

According to Raffy Tima’s report in “24 Oras” on Friday, the men also wore no helmets while doing the dangerous stunt, as seen in the video.

The Zamboanga City Hall ordered the CCTV Command Center to backtrack the footage along Governor Camins Avenue to identify the people in the video.

“Nakita natin doon sa viral [video], nakikita yung plate number ng motor, klaro. So ang pulis na ang mag-pursue ng  kaso na ito,” said retired Colonel Edwin De Ocampo of the Office of the City Mayor.

(We saw in the viral video the plate number of the motorcycle. So the police will now pursue the case.)

Meanwhile, the Zamboanga City Police Station 11 has already obtained the name of the registered owner of one of the motorcycles. Everyone involved in the stunt will face charges, it added.

"Through close coordination with the Land Transportation Office, we have successfully verified the registered owner of the motorcycle involved in the incident. Appropriate charges, such as alarm and scandal, and violations of existing traffic laws, will be filed against the individuals responsible,” the police said in a statement.

The local government said the video was taken during the curfew hours for minors from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Hence, the Office of the City Mayor urges barangays to strictly enforce the curfew for minors, according to the report. –Vince Angelo Ferreras/NB, GMA Integrated News
