P100K bounty up for each suspect in Laguna bank massacre

MANILA, Philippines - A P100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of each of the men responsible for the bloody bank robbery that left nine people dead and one seriously wounded in Cabuyao, Laguna Friday morning. Radio dzRH reported Friday afternoon that Laguna Gov. Teresita Lazaro offered the reward after voicing her outrage over the gruesome crime. Lazaro's offer came as police teams fanned out throughout the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon) region in search for the robber-killers. The teams included three teams from the Laguna provincial police and five from the Calabarzon regional police's intelligence division. At least one of the suspects, a security guard, had been identified as Joel Bautista. As this developed, police recovered a Toyota Revo believed used by the suspects in Turbina village in Calamba City. Police are still verifying if it was indeed the getaway vehicle. Meanwhile, Calabarzon regional police director Chief Supt. Ricardo Padilla identified the nine fatalities as: ⢠Roberto Castro, branch manager ⢠Bernardo Lapaan Jr., customer service head ⢠Olga Gonzales, clerk ⢠Juan Leyva, janitor ⢠Ferdinand Antonio, client ⢠Noel Miranda ⢠Aguilando Baltazar ⢠Teresita Umayao ⢠Benjamin Nicdao Another victim identified as Isagani Pastor remains in critical condition at the St. James Hospital. Initial investigation showed all the fatalities, who were found dead inside the bank when it was opened, were lined up and shot in the head and at close range. - GMANews.TV
