Albay bridge collapses due to overloaded truck

A steel bridge in Camalig, Albay collapsed after an overloaded truck tried to cross it.

According to a “Saksi” report on Thursday, the Camalig Municipal Engineering Office said the bridge, designed for light vehicles, incurred severe damage after it buckled underneath the truck.

The overloaded truck is not only categorized as a heavy vehicle but also exceeded the bridge's weight limit.

The Camalig local government is coordinating with the Department of Public Works and Highways 2nd District Office in repairing the bridge.
