NBI nabs man for allegedly raping stepdaughter in General Santos

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Monday said it arrested a man in General Santos City for the alleged qualified rape and sexual assault of his stepdaughter, a minor.

According to the bureau, the victim was allegedly raped by her stepfather on January 10 inside their residence and on January 11 inside a parked tricycle.

The NBI said the arrest warrant was issued by the General Santos City Regional Trial Court Branch 11 for qualified rape of a minor and sexual assault.

Authorities implemented the warrant on September 12 at his workplace.

The suspect is currently detained at the Bureau of Jail Management in General Santos, according to the bureau. —RF, GMA Integrated News
