CCLEX remains safe, passable following Cebu earthquake - MPTC

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) said Wednesday that the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), currently the country’s longest bridge, remains safe and passable for motorists following the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu on Tuesday evening.

In a statement, MPTC said CCLEX Corporation (CCLEC) conducted an assessment on its main bridge and other road assets.

“We have confirmed that the facility remains safe for motorists and continues to be passable,” the toll company said.

“Our hearts go out to our affected kababayans and we offer our prayers for everyone's safety,” it added. —Ted Cordero/RF, GMA Integrated News
