By GMA Integrated News
The Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday appealed for blood donations to help treat victims of the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Cebu province on Tuesday.
In a social media post, the Cebu City-based government-run hospital said it had received 45 earthquake victims, including those with multiple fractures and spinal cord and brain injuries, as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.
"With over 20 more under ER assessment, our blood supply is critically low," the VMMC said.
Those who want to donate blood may reach out to VMMC at 09498865946 or proceed to the VSMMC Subnational Laboratory.
Donor processing will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
