P6.9-B shabu bust in Pangasinan leads to arrest of 'most wanted drug suspects'

'Most wanted drug suspects' nabbed in P6.9-B drug bust in Pangasinan

Authorities arrest what Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) described as "most wanted drug suspects" in an operation that yielded a staggering P6.9 billion amount of shabu in Pangasinan, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday.

That's "approximately 895 kilograms of suspected shabu valued at P6,936,000,000," according to the PNP.

The PDEA-PNP operation, held on Friday night in Brgy. Laois, Labrador, Pangasinan, was to serve search warrants for alias “Wacky” and alias “Gardo.”

Both are considered high-value individuals by PDEA.

"At around 7:50 PM of October 3, 2025, along Brgy. Laois, Labrador, Pangasinan, PDEA Intelligence Service (lead unit) together with PDEA RO1, PDEA Pangasinan, ORD, and joint operating elements from Police Regional Office 1, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office and Labrador MPS, implemented Search Warrant issued by RTC Branch 70, Burgos, Pangasinan," said the PNP.

“What makes this operation significant is not just the massive drug haul, but the message it sends: the long arm of the law will reach even the most elusive fugitives. Our communities deserve to live free from the grip of narco-criminals," PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño said.

Meanwhile, PNP acting chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. lauded the joint effort of PDEA and PNP.

“This major breakthrough underscores the effectiveness of joint efforts between the PDEA and the PNP. We will never relent in pursuing criminal groups who poison our communities with illegal drugs,” said Nartatez. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
