Chemical spill reported in school after magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Davao Oriental 

An incident of chemical spill was logged in a school campus in Davao City following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck offshore Manay, Davao Oriental on Friday morning. 

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the spillage occurred on the 6th floor of San Pedro College. 

“BFP SRF Davao City– immediately responded and is now on board and operating in the area, ensuring proper containment and safety procedures are observed,” said BFP. “Coordination and response operations are ongoing.” 

Local governments in the Davao Region have immediately suspended classes earlier in the day, including Davao City, due to the strong earthquake. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
