Woman nabbed in Angeles City for threatening to bomb schools
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Friday announced the arrest of a woman in Angeles City for making multiple bomb threats against several schools and universities in Pampanga.
According to the NBI, the bomb threats were spread on social media by a 21-year-old “delinquent high school student” through a fake account.
The NBI-Central Luzon Regional Office arrested her on October 13 at her residence with the help of local barangay officials.
Authorities also seized her phone and subjected it to digital forensic examination. Results showed that the fake account used for the bomb threats was logged in and active on the device.
The NBI said the threats were only hoaxes and no actual bombings occurred.
The subject has been presented for inquest proceedings for violation of the Presidential Decree No. 1727 or the Bomb Prank Law. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
