Two earthquakes were recorded offshore Davao Oriental early Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.

The earthquake, with a depth of focus of 18 km, had its epicenter at 06.11°N, 127.61°E - 166 km S 51° E of Tarragona.

No damage is expected but aftershocks may occur, PHIVOLCS said.

PHIVOLCS earlier reported this earthquake as having magnitude 5.1 then downgraded it to magnitude 4.9 in an update.

"This is an aftershock of the October 2025 Offshore Davao Oriental Earthquake," PHIVOLCS said.
