PCG: 30 fishermen rescued in Zambales

At least 30 fishermen were rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) after their fishing vessel suffered engine failure in the waters off Bajo de Masinloc in Zambales.

In a report, the PCG said FB ERVY-8 encountered engine trouble on October 31 while in the waters off Zambales.

Despite challenging sea conditions, the crew members managed to send a distress call to PCG personnel, resulting in their rescue on Sunday.

The PCG towed the distressed fishing vessel and rescued its 30 crew members.

It also turned over the boat and the fishers to Coast Guard Station Zambales for further assistance. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
