Cebu cop sacked over ‘bring-me-a-drug pusher’ vlog
A police officer in Cebu was sacked from his post after he put a controversial twist on the “bring-me” game in his vlog.
According to Jun Veneracion’s report on “24 Oras” on Monday, the vlogger-cop asked viewers to bring him a drug user for P2,000. But the stakes are high if one can bring him a street-level drug pusher for P5,000.
However, the vlog did not sit well with the Philippine National Police.
“Wala ‘yan sa police operations and procedures. So the ACG and the DIDM now conduct an appropriate investigation,” said PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
The PNP was able to save a copy of the controversial vlog before the cop took it down from his Facebook page, which has 400,000 followers.
Aside from the said vlog, the sacked cop also had another vlog wherein he also asked viewers to bring him unregistered firearms.
GMA Integrated News is trying to reach out to the cop for a comment.
“Siya po ay administratively relieved. Sa kautusan po ng Chief PNP, pinag-explain po iyong taong iyon pati po ang kanyang chief of police,” said PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier Gen. Randulf Tuaño.
