20,800 individuals affected by Uwan receive help from GMA Kapuso Foundation
A total of 20,800 individuals affected by Super Typhoon Uwan received help from GMA Kapuso Foundation so far.
According to Mel Tiangco's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, assistance has reached residents in Dingalan, Aurora who were hit by the storm surge, as well as those in Daet, Camarines Norte, and the towns of Guinobatan and Polangui in Albay.
Relief goods have also arrived in Virac, Catanduanes, where distribution is set to continue on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the foundation is waiting for roads to become passable in Dinalungan, Aurora, the area where the typhoon made landfall, so they can extend help there as well.
As of Tuesday, the death toll from Super Typhoon Uwan has risen to 25.
