Girl stuffed into sack in Iloilo positive for abuse

The seven-year-old girl in Lambunao, Iloilo found in a sack is positive for sexual abuse. The finding is based on the medico-legal or autopsy report of the Lambunao Police.

The body of the girl was found in a sack inside the comfort room of her own house in Barangay Tampucao noontime on November 8, 2025.

Lacerations in the child’s privates were found, police confirmed.

Police added that the girl’s underwear and short pants were found inside her house which helped establish that the child was raped and slain in her very own residence.

“May lacerations sa 9-o’clock (left). Basta dalawa ang nakita, 9 (left) at 6 o’clock (bottom). Sa semilya, ang SOCO [Scene of the Crime Operation] na ang magde-determine kung meron o wala,” according to Captain Jose Winston Biadog, chief of Lambunao Municipal Police Station.

The medico-legal report determined that the child died due to strangulation with the use of a shoelace and straw.

However, it was not determined yet whether the child was already dead when she was shoved into the sack.

“Of death ng ating victim is due to traumatic ligature at the left lateral aspect of the neck resulting to asphyxial death,” Biadog added.

Police have no suspects yet, as of this writing.

There are five persons of interest (POIs) though, including the girl’s grandfather.

The four POIs are neighbors of the victim, all of legal ages.

Police are awaiting the results of swab tests done on the persons of interest.

Police said it is also possible that only one person is behind the crime.

“Baka may nakakita upang maging witness or may nalalaman na information dyan sa Barangay Tampucao, humihingi kami ng tulong o kooperasyon na i-report kaagad sa atin upang matulungan ang pamilya ng biktima na ma-solve at mabigyan ng hustisya,” Biadog added. — GMA Regional TV News
