3 nabbed in Pampanga drug raid
Three drug suspects were arrested following a buy-bust operation inside a makeshift den in Barangay San Joaquin in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Sunday, November 16.
The operation, conducted at around 12:10 p.m., resulted in the seizure of approximately eight grams of shabu, valued at P54,400, along with assorted drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money, authorities said.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Tarlac Provincial Office identified the suspected drug den operator as a 37-year-old man using the alias “Pepe.”
The other two suspects arrested were a 49-year-old man, alias “Mar,” and a 52-year-old woman, alias “Mimi.”
“The confiscated illegal substances will be forwarded to the PDEA-3 laboratory for forensic examination,” the agency added.
The operation was carried out jointly by the PDEA Tarlac and Pampanga provincial offices in coordination with the local police.
The arrested suspects are set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
