Cop, barker nabbed in drug ops; P900K illegal drugs seized

Police seized more than P900,000 worth of illegal drugs in two separate buy-bust operations in Nueva Ecija.

The targets were a former police officer and a barker, both arrested in separate operations led by anti-drug units on November 18, 2025.

The first operation took place in Zone 5, Barangay Sto. Tomas, San Jose City, where authorities arrested a 43-year-old barker from Pasay City. Police recovered six sachets of shabu weighing 57.66 grams, valued at P382,088, along with P1,500 in marked money.

In Barangay Rizal, Santa Rosa, police arrested a 44-year-old former policeman who is listed as a high-value target. Seized from him were three plastic sachets containing around 75 grams of shabu worth P510,000, as well as boodle money used in the operation.

Both suspects are now detained and are facing charges. They have yet to issue statements. —GMA Regional TV
