Tribe leader shot dead in New Bataan, Davao de Oro

A tribal chieftain was shot dead by an assailant suspect in New Bataan, Davao de Oro on Wednesday. 

According to the report of Super Radyo Davao’s Francis Timbal on Thursday, the victim is a 59-year-old male who also worked as a forest ranger.

Initial investigation by the New Bataan Municipal Police Station showed that the gunman approached the victim and shot him.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.

Police launched a hot pursuit operation against the gunman and are investigating the motive behind the murder. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/JMA, GMA Integrated News
