Some Tuguegarao City roads still not passable due to floods

Some roads in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan remain submerged after a week after rough weather dumped rains in the province.

According to a report on “24 Oras Weekend,” some of the roads in Tuguegarao City resembled rivers and are still not passable due to floods.

The state weather bureau said the Northeast Monsoon affects Batanes and Babuyan Islands, while the easterlies are affecting different parts of Luzon and even Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms are to be expected in the Visayas, Mindanao, and parts of Palawan.

The trough or tail of Tropical Storm Koto (formerly Verbena) which is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility will still cause rains over the Kalayaan Islands.

According to data from Metro Weather, rains are expected over a large part of Luzon, while heavy to intense rains may be experienced in some parts of Benguet.

Scattered rains may be felt over the Visayas and Mindanao.

In Metro Manila, fair weather may be expected on Monday morning with the possibility of rains in the afternoon until evening. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
