Gates of Ambuklao, Binga, Magat Dams stay open

Each of the Ambuklao, Binga, and Magat Dams have one gate open on Sunday morning to release excess water, based on an update from PAGASA.
Ambuklao Dam in Benguet had one gate open at 8 a.m. at 0.3 meters, discharging water at 19 cubic meters per second (cms).
The water level in the reservoir was at 751.24 meters on Sunday morning, near the 752-meter spilling level.
The Binga Dam, also located in Benguet, likewise had one gate open at 0.3 meters, discharging water at 28 cms.
At 8 a.m., Binga Dam's reservoir water level (RWL) was at 574.75, almost reaching the 575-m spilling level.
The Magat Dam, which lies between the provinces of Ifugao and Isabela, had one gate open at 1.0 m. on Sunday morning. It is discharging water at 497.44 cms.
Magat Dam's water level at its reservoir was at 185.5 meters on Saturday morning, a few meters away from the 193-m spilling level.
In its 4 a.m. weather forecast on Sunday, PAGASA said the Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over Northern Luzon.
The state weather bureau cautioned the public of “possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.” —RF, GMA Integrated News
