NLEX deploys more security after slingshot rocks hit buses at Balagtas exit

The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation will deploy more security personnel after at least five buses were hit by rocks. 

According to Dano Tingcungco's Thursday report on "24 Oras," windows of some buses were damaged after they were hit below the Burol underpass on the northbound lane of the NLEX at its Balagtas exit.

Robin Ignacio, NLEX AVP for Traffic Operations, said their personnel witnessed the incident and reported it to authorities. 

They nabbed some minors, who allegedly hit the buses using a slingshot.

"I think mga bata siguro kaya di niya Alam yung effect nang paninirador niya," Ignacio said. 

(I think they're kids and do not understand the effects of their actions.)

He added that this is an isolated case since it has been a long time since a similar incident happened. –Mariel Celine Serquiña/NB, GMA Integrated News
