12 injured in amusement ride mishap in San Jacinto, Pangasinan

At least 12 people sustained injuries after an amusement ride collapsed in San Jacinto, Pangasinan.

According to Jasmin Gabriel-Galban’s Thursday report on “24 Oras,” the victims were brought to the hospital as the police responded to the incident.

According to the investigation, the amusement ride carried 30 people. Apparently the apparatus collapsed when the welding gave out. 

One of the passengers, who also worked in the amusement fair, said she did not expect that the ride would collapse since it underwent inspection before the fair opened.

The police said the ride operator committed to helping the victims financially. He refused to comment on the matter.

Operations of the amusement fair are suspended while the investigation is ongoing. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
