4 victims rescued from cybersex den in Calauag, Quezon

The Philippine National Police-Anti Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) rescued four victims from a cybersex den in Calauag, Quezon.

According to a "24 Oras" report by Jun Veneracion on Friday, PNP-ACG officers found a victim wearing lingerie in front of a computer.

“During the raid, the implementation ng ating warrant, naaktuhan nila na mayroong online activities na ginagawa [ang biktima] sa area, so possibly they are performing online sexual exhibition,” said ACG Acting Director Police Brigadier General Wilson Asueta.

(During the raid, the implementation of the warrant, they caught [a victim] in the act of conducting online activities in the area, so possibly they are performing online sexual exhibition.)

Police said that most of the victims were boys, but none were present during the raid. The cybersex den's regular customers were foreigners.

Authorities apprehended a couple allegedly in charge of the operations who were former performers.

“Mayroon din silang handler before, but dahil di sila satisfied sa kanilang pasahod, nagkaroon din sila ng sariling online sex den,” he added.

(They also had a handler before, but because they were not satisfied with their salary, they opened their own online sex den.)

The suspects, currently in the custody of the Calauag Police, will face charges of violating the Anti-Trafficking In Persons Act in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
