Fallen pine tree causes traffic jam, power outage in Baguio City

A fallen pine tree caused a traffic jam along Leonard Wood Road as well as a power outage in Baguio City over the weekend.

According to a report in “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday, the fallen pine tree also pulled down the power lines, dragging at least four electric posts in the process.

Five private and public vehicles were involved in the incident. No one was hurt in the incident.

It took over four hours before the fallen tree was cleared. 

The Benguet Electric Cooperative said power supply in affected barangays was restored before midnight. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/JMA, GMA Integrated News
