Man rapes goat in El Nido, Palawan

A man is set to face charges of animal cruelty after he allegedly raped a goat in El Nido town in Palawan.

According to the report of Super Radyo Palawan’s Wilmar Abrea on Monday, the owner of the goat supposedly caught the suspect sexually assaulting the animal in Sitio Lamuro in Barangay Pasadeña. 

But the suspect immediately scampered when he was called out. His accomplice, however, who supposedly acted as a lookout, was rounded up.

The main suspect, who is currently at-large, will face charges of alleged violaton of Republic Act No. 8485 or the Animal Welfare Act of 1998. 

Section 4 prohibits cruelty to animals, which includes acts that cause unnecessary suffering, pain, or mutilation, as well as sexual abuse.—Vince Angelo Ferreras/MCG, GMA Integrated News
