Storm surge damages over 200 boats in Concepcion, Iloilo

A total of 216 boats were damaged by a storm surge in Concepcion, Iloilo as the shear line and easterlies affected weather conditions across the Visayas over the weekend.

According to a “Saksi” report on Monday, 30 houses were also damaged by the strong waves and winds from the storm surge.

PAGASA said the easterlies also caused rains over Mindanao.

In Makilala, Cotabato, a viral video showed a backhoe almost getting swept away by a raging flood.

The video uploader said construction workers were working on a flood control project when they were warned of an oncoming flood and decided to evacuate.
