Man shot dead by friend due to alleged love triangle in Bulacan

A man was shot dead by his own friend last Saturday in Plaridel, Bulacan due to an alleged love triangle.

According to Marisol Abdurahman’s exclusive report in  “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the police found the bloodied victim lying on the ground after witnesses reported the incident.

“Bumaba ‘yung ating suspect from his car, then merong mga argument. Later on, nandoon na, bumunot na siya ng baril, then pinutukan niya na. Pinutukan niya sa iba’t-ibang parte ng katawan,” said Plaridel Police chief P/Lieutenant Colonel Jerome Jay Ragonton.

(Our suspect got out of his car, and then there was an argument. Later on, right then and there, he pulled out a gun and shot him. He shot him in various parts of the body.)

The victim, identified as a cellphone technician, was shot in front of his shop.

The police were able to immediately identify the suspect who turned out to be the victim’s friend.

“Ang tinitignan natin dito is love triangle. Personal grudge. Kumbaga itong victim natin is parang mayroon silang illicit affair nung girlfriend,” said Ragonton.

(What we are looking at here is a love triangle. Personal grudge. It appears our victim allegedly had an illicit affair with the [suspect's] girlfriend.)

The police conducted a hot pursuit operation, however, the suspect was not in his residence. Authorities said they found the car that the suspect used.

The suspect was eventually located in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.

“Doon na, nakuha natin yung firearms na ginamit at doon na natin siya inaresto,” said Ragonton, adding that the firearms were brought online and do not have the proper documents.

(That’s where we recovered the firearms used, and that is where we also arrested him.)

The suspect was charged for murder and illegal possession of firearms.
