Seven priests, Franciscan brother among 2025 Bar exam passers
Seven Catholic priests and a Franciscan brother are among the 5,594 passers of the 2025 Bar Examinations.
In a social media post, the Cebu archdiocese congratulated Fr. Joel Pepito Oriesga, Chairman of the Cebu Archdiocesan Commission on Catholic Education.

Oriesga is also a team member of the National Shrine of St. Joseph in Mandaue City.
“Congratulations, Fr. Joel! The Archdiocese rejoices with you and is immensely proud of this inspiring milestone. May your gifts continue to be a blessing to many!” the Cebu archdiocese said.
Meanwhile, the Diocese of Tagbilaran announced that the parish priest of Holy Cross parish in Maribojoc town in Bohol, Fr. Marcelo Operiano Jr. y Ferrater, also passed the exam.

In a social media post, the diocese annouced that Operiano completed his law studies at the Holy Name University.
"This achievement is a blessing not only to him personally but also to the Church he serves. His legal formation will further strengthen his pastoral ministry, the promotion of justice, and the protection of rights within both ecclesial and civil communities. The Diocese joins Fr. Jun in giving thanks to God for this grace and milestone," the diocese said.

The Augustinian Province of Santo Niño de Cebu-Philippines joyfully congratulates Rev. Fr. Generous “Gee” Gonesto, OSA.
In a social media post, the congregation said "Fr. Gonesto is currently a member of the University of San Agustin in Iloilo."

Meanwhile, the Order of Friars Minor - Province of San Pedro Bautista - Philippines announced that a confere also passed the examination.

The religious congregation announced, through the Franciscan Communications social media account, that Bro. Dominador Valdez, Jr. OFM, passed the 2025 Bar exams.
"We warmly congratulate BRO. DOMINADOR VALDEZ, OFM on successfully passing the 2025 Bar Examinations. May this achievement be placed at the service of justice, peace, and the common good. Pax et Bonum!"
The Chaplain Services head of the Bureau of Fire Protection also passed the bar exams.

"From the altar to the halls of justice - called to serve both God and justice. Congratulations on passing the Bar Examinations Rev. Fr. Atty. (FSupt) Gil Rochar Pancho Dulay!," the bureau said in a social media post.
The Diocese of Masbate - Office of Communications also congratulated Fr. Danilo dela Bajan.

From the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines, Fr. (Capt.) Rommel Kiamco is also a bar exam passer.

From the Diocese of Legazpi, Fr. Eric B. Marigondon successfully hurdled the Bar Exams.

During the release of the results on Wednesday, Bar chairperson Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier said the number of Bar passers is 48.98% of the total takers that completed all three exam days.
Jhenroniel Rhey Timola Sanchez of the University of the Philippines topped the Bar exams, followed by Spinel Albert Allauigan Declaro and Alaiza Agatep Adviento of the University of Santo Tomas-Manila, respectively.
