Taal Volcano in Batangas had 20 volcanic earthquakes on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said Sunday.
The quakes included 14 volcanic tremors lasting from one to 125 minutes long.
The volcano also emitted weak plumes which drifted southwest.

The agency reminded the public that entry into Taal Volcano Island, which is a Permanent Danger Zone or PDZ, should be prohibited, especially in the Main Crater and Daang Kastila fissures.
Likewise, occupancy and boating on Taal Lake and flying aircraft near the volcano should not be allowed, PHIVOLCS said.
Taal Volcano may have steam-driven or phreatic or gas-driven explosions, volcanic earthquakes, minor ashfall, and lethal accumulations or expulsions of volcanic gas, it added.
On January 9, Taal Volcano had a minor phreatomagmatic eruption at the main crater. —KG, GMA Integrated News
