Pickup occupants caught in road rage vs motorcycle riders in Hagonoy, Bulacan

The driver and passenger of a pickup vehicle and motorcycle riders figured in a traffic altercation on Saturday in Barangay Iba in Hagonoy, Bulacan. 

According to Jonathan Andal’s report in “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday, CCTV footage showed a motorcycle was crossing an intersection when it suddenly stopped to avoid an incoming pickup truck. 

When the motorcycle rider continued driving, the pickup passenger threw something at the riders. 

Tension grew as a the male passenger of the pickup vehicle went down and punched the driver of the motorcycle who already crossed the road. 

The pickup driver also alighted from the vehicle to pacify the situation. But the passenger threw a punch at the motorcycle rider. 

The pickup driver and the rider had a discussion before the former went back to his vehicle. 

An official from the barangay has yet to give a statement on the incident, the report said. 

Meanwhile, the rider said he will undergo medico-legal before he gives a statement. 

GMA Integrated News is also trying to seek comments from the passenger and driver of the pickup vehicle. 

Meanwhile, police said they have yet to receive a blotter report from the rider. But the barangay informed them that both parties will meet next week. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
