Fire hits DPWH-Cordillera office in Baguio

A fire hit the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) regional office in Cordillera Administrative Region in Baguio City on Wednesday afternoon. 

The Baguio City Fire Station said the fire was reported at past 5 p.m, but it was declared out at 5:43 p.m. 

“Initial assessment by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) indicates that the affected area was limited to approximately two square meters of the office. No DPWH employee was injured in the said incident,” the DPWH said in a statement. 

Further, the DPWH said that it is coordinating with the Bureau of Fire Protection and the local government of Baguio City to conduct an investigation on the incident. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
