Cebu landslide death toll at 32
The death toll in the trash slide at the Binaliw Landfill in Cebu City is now at 32 following the retrieval of one more body, the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office reported.
Photos from the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7 showed their personnel continuously conducting retrieval operations despite the conditions.

Earlier, the operator of the sanitary landfill said it would comply with a cease and desist order issued by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
DENR Central Visayas said the order halts landfill operations except for rescue, retrieval, and cleanup activities, to ensure the safety of responders and prevent further incidents. —Jamil Santos/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
