DPWH Sec. Dizon stands on shaking bridge as truck rumbles by

Department of Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has ordered the immediate inspection of a bridge in Lupi, Camarines Sur after personally experiencing it shake and jolt as a truck drove over it.

As seen in a 24 Oras Weekend report, Dizon and his colleagues were standing on the Mauca Bridge on the Andaya Highway in Lupi when a large truck transporting steel rebar drove over it, causing the bridge to shake and Dizon to curse and hold on to the parapet.

"Agad na ipinag-utos ni Secretary Dizon na i-assess at ipaayos ito dahil delikado ito sa mga motorista at mga residenteng dumadaan sa tulay," the DPWH said in a statement.

(Secretary Dizon immediately ordered the assessment and repair of the bridge, as the situation could be dangerous for the motorists and residents using it.) — BM, GMA Integrated News
