Boat with 15 passengers missing in Davao Occidental; 1 person rescued

A boat carrying 15 persons went missing in the waters of Davao Occidental with only one person rescued so far. 

According to a report in “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the man who was rescued is a crew member of the boat, identified as the recreational dive boat MBCA Amejara. He was given medical treatment after he was recovered from the water. 

Authorities are still trying to gather information from the man.

Coast Guard Station Davao Occidental said the boat, which had 11 passengers and a crew of four, was last seen in Sarangani and was en route to Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental on Monday.
