Dead woman found inside drum at Marcos Highway

The body of a woman was found inside a plastic drum along Marcos Highway in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City.

According to a "24 Oras" report by Chino Gaston on Friday, the body was discovered by children scavenging for garbage at around 1 p.m. on Thursday.

The dead body was placed in a plastic bag and stuffed inside a drum, which was found in a ravine.

Authorities were immediately informed of the discovery, and a retrieval operation was immediately launched.

(They found a drum and thought it had recyclables, and when they opened it they saw feet so they immediately went to the nearest police officer. After that, we received report that stated they saw feet inside a drum.)

GMA Integrated News was able to locate the victim’s family, who said that she was last seen in Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City on January 20 with unidentified male and female.

They had been unable to contact her since then.

An investigation continues regarding the circumstances of the victim’s death as Antipolo Police work on locating the suspects.
