PCG rescues marine biology students stranded off Sarangani coast

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Eastern Sarangani rescued nine marine biology students from General Santos City and three crew members of a motor banca that was stranded in the waters off Sarangani. 

According to the report of Barangay FM 102.3 Gensan’s Jerwen Paglinawan on Monday, the students were conducting an activity in the water for their thesis. 

However, the boat malfunctioned while 8 nautical miles from Sarangani Bay. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
