Suspect in killing of businesswoman in Naic, Cavite ready to tag mastermind


Authorities arrested the suspect in the killing of a businesswoman in Naic, Cavite, who said he is ready to reveal the mastermind.

According to Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report on “24 Oras,” the suspect fatally stabbed the victim in September 2024, while her husband survived despite sustained stab wounds.

The suspect served as the couple’s driver, who volunteered to accompany them to purchase low-cost goods.

Police said the suspect knew the area since his wife was from Naic town.

Upon reaching a dark area, the suspect pulled over and said he needed to urinate, but instead carried out the crime.

Authorities arrested the suspect in Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro. His appearance had changed from the wanted poster as he had longer hair. 

His neighbors described the suspect as reclusive and said he rarely left his house.

The suspect denied the allegations that he took the couple’s over P2 million, which was missing from the crime scene

He said he was paid P50,000 to carry out the crime and claimed that a mastermind was behind it, whom he is willing to identify.

Investigation is still ongoing.

The suspect said he regretted his actions and appealed for the protection of his children, adding he fears for their safety. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/LDF, GMA Integrated News
