Several households in Mindanao remain without electricity following the outage of a major transmission line caused by a cut conductor, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said Wednesday.

In an advisory, the NGCP said power restoration is expected by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, after outages were extended in parts of Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, and Cotabato Province, including areas within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The extension was prompted by newly discovered technical problems at the site, as teams conduct final inspections on nearby towers following repairs between towers 46 and 47.

Affected distribution providers include Cotabato Light and Power Company, Cotabato Electric Cooperative Inc., and Maguindanao Electric Cooperative Inc.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
