Over ₱233M worth of cocaine seized from 2 Indian men in Calamba, Laguna


An estimated P233.2 million worth of suspected cocaine was seized from two Indian men in Calamba, Laguna on early Saturday morning.

In Bea Pinlac’s exclusive report, the two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation by a team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency - National Capital Region Southern District Office.

Recovered during the operation were two kilograms of suspected cocaine contained in a brown paper bag, which served as the subject of sale, and 42 kilos of suspected cocaine contained in an open carton box. 

The suspected narcotics will undergo forensic examination at the PDEA Laboratory Service

Also confiscated were buy-bust money, 1 brown paper bag used as container of buy-bust money, a smartphone, and passports. 

The operation was carried out at around 2:30 a.m. at the Villa de Calamba in Barangay La Mesa. The operation was led by PDEA Regional Ofiice-NCR  (PDEA RO-NCR) Southern District Office in coordination with PDEA Regional Office 4A (RO-4A) Laguna Provincial Office, PDEA RO-4A Regional Special Enforcement Team, and the Calamba City Police Station.

The suspects were identified as an Alias FiveSIx, 30 years old, a businessman, and an Alias Ali. 32, also a businessman.

Both men are facing violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —RF, GMA Integrated News
