LOOK: Kanlaon Volcano’s moderately explosive eruption

Exactly a week after Kanlaon Volcano’s unrest led to a moderately explosive eruption on February 19, state volcanologists on Thursday logged another moderately explosive eruption of the volcano on Negros Island.

Canlaon City Mayor Batchuk Cardenas of Negros Oriental shared photos of the eruption against the night sky as he warned residents to be on alert.

CCTV footage of the actual eruption was also captured from La Castellana in Negros Occidental.

YouScooper Regine Delos Santos Tomaquin also shared photos of the eruption from La Castellana town.

YouScooper Joann G. Chan also shared photos of the eruption and the ash plumes rising into the sky as seen from Barangay Masulog in Canlaon City.
