2 minors stabbed to death in Morong, Rizal

A 12-year-old male and a 13-year-old female were found dead in a cemetery in Morong, Rizal after they were allegedly stabbed by the latter’s cousin.

According to EJ Gomez’s Monday report on “Saksi,” the victims were first reported missing over the weekend.

A witness reported to the police that the victims were last seen with the 18-year-old suspect, who helped authorities look for the minors.

The suspect misled the police by saying a man with whom he argued was the one who stabbed the victims.

A witness, however, saw the suspect fleeing from the incident. Investigators later found that the suspect had wounds on his bloodied hands.

According to the male victim’s relative, the suspect threatened the former to come with him.

The female victim’s parents were emotional as they were unable to accept their daughter’s death.

The investigation showed that the suspect was heartbroken and turned his anger towards the victims, as he was drunk during the incident.

The suspect was arrested during a follow-up operation. He disclosed to the police where he hid the sharp object used in the crime.

The suspect also admitted to his crimes and asked forgiveness from his uncle and aunt, adding that he will accept whatever punishment he receives.

He is facing two counts of murder charges. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP, GMA Integrated News
