Another suspect in fatal hazing of maritime student in Cavite surrenders

One more suspect in the death of Mark Kenneth Alcedo, a 19-year-old freshman maritime student in Cavite, surrendered to authorities on Monday, bringing the total number of suspects in the fatal hazing to seven.

According to Mark Makalalad’s report on Super Radyo dzBB on Tuesday, the individual surrendered to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group National Capital Region on Monday evening. 

The suspect is 26 years old and one of those identified by Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla last week, the report added. 

Four suspects surrendered last Sunday, March 8. They were accompanied by their legal counsel and members of the Tau Gamma Phi National Council. 

Meanwhile, the two other suspects surrendered on March 7, including the driver of the vehicle that brought the victim to the hospital.  — Vince Angelo Ferreras/VBL, GMA Integrated News
