Bohol gets 12 ventilators, lotto shares from PCSO
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has turned over 12 mechanical ventilators to five government hospitals in Bohol.
In a statement on Friday, PCSO said that six ventilator units have been delivered to Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital, while three units were turned over to Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital.
Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital in Carmen, Catigbian District Hospital, and Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Hospital in Inabanga received one unit each.
During the turnover, PCSO General Manager Mel Robles stressed the need to strengthen and improve healthcare in outlying areas.
The donated units were portable Resvent RV200 ventilators that has the capacity for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, and are designed for various clinical settings.
A check worth P277,940.92 representing Bohol’s lotto shared for July to December 2025 was also turned over to the province.
“This turnover is part of our broader mission to bring essential health services closer to the people,” Robles said.
“This medical equipment will greatly help ensure that our people have access to quality healthcare services wherever they may be in Bohol… With the provision of these additional tools, we are more confident in our team to respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies that may arise,” Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado said. —Jiselle Anne C.
