Stabbing leaves one dead, another critical in Zamboanga del Sur

A man died from stabbing while another is in critical condition after they tried to stop a brawl in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

According to GMA Regional TV Efren Mamac’s Tuesday report on “24 Oras,” a video showed men were hitting each other along Seaside Boulevard in Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City on Monday evening.

The first victim attempted to approach the other men but fell on the ground, while another was sitting in the middle of the road.

The two men were brought to the hospital, but one of them was declared dead on arrival after falling twice.

He was 45 years old and lived in Cotabato City.

According to the Pagadian City Police, the two victims were drunk and had just returned from a bar when they got involved in the brawl.

The police are searching for the suspect, whom they identified after discovering his motorcycle.

Security measures were tightened along the Seaside Boulevard after the incident to avoid similar incidents.
