La Trinidad's giant triplet strawberry cake yields 11,000 slices for festival

More than a ton of strawberries, about 500 kilograms of strawberry jam, and Italian butter cream were used to create the giant triplet strawberry cake in La Trinidad, Benguet, according to a report on "Saksi" Monday.

It took four days for 20 bakers with 60 volunteers and construction workers to bake the giant cake.

At the time the cake was sliced, there were about 11,000 slices that were sold at a lower price, from P70 to P20 each.

The activity is still part of the celebration of the Strawberry Festival in La Trinidad in Benguet. — BAP, GMA News
