2 police, BuCor personnel shot dead in Puerto Princesa City

Two police officers and a Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) personnel were killed in a shootout in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on Friday.

According to a "24 Oras Weekend" report on Saturday, initial information indicated that the incident stemmed from a confrontation at a wake after one of the police officers was allegedly punched.

The officer initially left the wake but later returned with companions, including the two other victims.

The Puerto Princesa City Police Office condemned the incident and said investigations are ongoing as authorities continue to track down the suspects, who remain at large.—Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/MCG, GMA News
