Puerto Princesa police chief relieved from post after shooting incident involving cops

The chief of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) was removed from her post following a shooting incident that killed two police officers and one Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) personnel.

The relief order of Police Colonel Cristine Tabdi was signed by Police Major General Constacio Chinayog Jr., Philippine National Police director for personnel and records management, according to a report on Super Radyo dzBB by Junfred Calamba of Super Radyo Palawan on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Police Colonel Dennis de Leon was appointed acting chief of PPCPO.

The incident allegedly began with a brawl when one of the police officers was hit at a wake on Good Friday.

The officer initially left the wake but later returned with companions, including the two other victims.
