Vendors gang up on delivery rider in Bulacan over parking
A delivery rider will file charges against five vendors who allegedly ganged up on him following an argument over parking in Malolos, Bulacan.
According to Ian Cruz’s report in “Saksi” on Wednesday, the vendors did not want the victim to park his vehicle because it would block the products they were selling.
“Nagkaroon sila ng alitan sa parking. Dahil ayaw pa-parkingan ng mga vendors doon,” said Malolos City Police Station chief Police Lt. Colonel Rommel Geneblazo.
(They had a dispute over parking. Because the vendors didn't want him to park [in that spot].)
The police already arrested one of the four suspects on Tuesday. Meanwhile, four others surrendered to the authorities, the report added.
The suspects did not give comments on the matter. But the chairperson of the Muslim Consultative Council of Malolos City and the director of the Bulacan Muslim Affairs Consultative Council alleged that the victim uttered bad words which angered the vendors.
However, the delivery rider denied the allegation.
“Wala po akong sinabing ganun…Ako po ay humihingi lang ng kapirasong parking sa tabi po nila,” he said.
(I didn't say anything like that... I was just asking for a small parking space beside them.)
The suspects, who are now in police custody, may face charges for physical injury. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA News
