OCD warns of possible ashfall due to Kanlaon Volcano

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) issued a volcano alert on Tuesday afternoon, warning residents of Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental of potential ashfall. 

In the advisory issued at 3:07 p.m., the OCD warned of potential ashfall drifting westward following the eruption of Kanlaon Volcano at approximately 2:47 p.m.

Alert Level 2 remains hoisted over Kanlaon Volcano. Entry into the 4-kilometer permanent danger zone is still prohibited. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/VBL, GMA News
