Missing man found dead near wife's grave

A 71-year-old man who had been missing for five days was found dead in Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.
The man’s decomposing body was found in a farm in Barangay Matalang morning on Monday, April 27, 2026, just a few meters away from his wife’s grave who he may have visited.
His family reported him missing on April 23, 2026 after he failed to return home.
Based on findings from the Midsalip Regional Health Unit, the man suffered a heart attack. His medical results indicated myocardial infarction secondary to chronic hypertension.
His remains were turned over to his family. —GMA Regional TV
