PGH Carmona groundbreaking this May, says Marcos
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. announced on Monday the upcoming groundbreaking of a new Philippine General Hospital (PGH) branch in Carmona, Cavite, this month.
This marks a major milestone in expanding healthcare access for Cavite residents and those in nearby provinces. The new PGH facility will have a 200-bed capacity, which is designed to provide quality medical services to one of the country's fastest-growing provinces.
"Mayroon tayong bubuksan na branch ng PGH na…200 beds. Mag-groundbreaking daw kami itong Mayo na ito isang PGH na hospital sa Carmona," Marcos said.

Marcos said the hospital project reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in country as well as ensuring that communities benefit directly from the support of the national government.
The President made the announcement during the “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang” event in General Trias, Cavite where he highlighted the timely rollout of government programs that provide rice subsidies and financial assistance to barangays.
Marcos said these initiatives are crucial in helping families cope with rising prices of basic commodities amid the global oil crisis.
Meanwhile, the projected PGH Carmona branch emphasized the administration’s vision of ensuring that healthcare, food security, and community development remain at the forefront of national priorities. —RF, GMA News
